So much to tell and so little time so here goes.
Mythica issue one is complete and I have begun selling Limited edition copies. Very short, numbered and signed runs each with different cover art until I can get it picked up by a publisher and distributed nationally. I don't make much at all from selling the comics right now as printing costs are high when you are only doing runs of 100 at a time but it's getting it out there. The word is spreading.
Ever since I announced that the first Limited Edition was i print I have been getting a steady stream of orders coming in through Paypal which is exciting. There are about 50 of the first 100 still not spoken for and I haven't even received the first order in the mail yet! I am taking 25 of the 100 to Escape Velocity comics in Colorado Springs this coming weekend for Free Comic Book Day. If you are in the area please stop by! I will also be doing mini art lessons, woot!

Next up after Free Comic Book Day is the Albuquerque Comic Expo or ACE as it's normally called. This show is great and it's because event coordinator Mike is at every show I go to hustling and promoting. Stan Lee is going to be there along with Jay and Silent Bob! I wonder if they will reenact some Mallrats scenes?  That would be awesome! I am wrapping up an Exclusive cover for that show that will be limited to only 25 copies! Plus i''l have any leftovers from the first Limited Edition listed above. [link]

The very next weekend is Denver's FIRST full scale comicon. I will have ANOTHER exclusive for that show. This is my home town show so i'm sure its going to be a fun time. I'll be there of course with my friends from CCP comics!

If you are interested in obtaining any of these issues message me.

Now the second issue has begun posting on my website. Tomorrow introduces Riley Scott, a new character that is a seductive and dangerous Irish born spy! It is a very hot page be sure to check it out every Monday! [link]

Thanks for the kind words Lili. What have you written before? Do you have any samples? I'm pretty full up with projects at this time but I am always willing to take a look.

and i'm planning a comic with my "infamous" metalsheep. But i'm still to hesistant to write a script, because i'm just too 'green' and a bit insecure with my skills. (some work is in my gallery)

btw is your comicbook already available?

Lili

and thanks for a look at my work, maybe for some constructive critic too. :)

Issue #1 of my comic, Mythica is available to read online right now. Issue #2 has begun and new pages come out every Monday. Here is the link directly to the first issue. [link]
Keep pushing the boulder up the hill as far as the writing goes. It will all come together perfectly.

Matt,
I commissioned you at the NOLA Comic-con. The deadpool saints piece. I just want to say again just how awesome your work is on that piece. You knew what I was asking for better than I did. It is now framed and hanging in a place of honour in my home. I have a few very envious friends that say they are looking forward to having you do work for them next year. I am too. Thanks again. Steve

So, I went ahead and read Mythica. Things I liked: the setting (that odd combination of WWI and occult forces), use of Jungian Motifs, and the general feel of a Pulp Novel or a Two-fisted Tale that your story had a good amount of.
Things I cared not so much for: the phonetic scottish accents could have been toned down a little bit, and the big no scene (possibly because of Star Wars, I find those scenes to be more laughable than tragic, which is how it should feel.)
All in all, the good far outweighed the bad, to my mind anyway. I wish you best of luck in presenting Mythica :)

Thank you very much for the feedback. We have already toned down the Scottish accents a bit. Also, thank you for being kind enough to check it out even though I apparently wasn't supposed to be posting there. I'm actually quite aggravated with the other responses i received. I'm constantly being reminded of why i come to this site less and less. I get lip from some kid in school (LegendarySuperman) giving me facepalms. Being that i am a professional artist, I find that a really annoying waste of my time. Then one of the moderators blocks out the thread and just tells me to use my journal. Wait, are you telling me there is not a single thread for posting about Independent projects, or self promotion or anything? What kind of art site its this?
I'm sorry to have vented that out on you. You don't deserve it. You were helpful and polite and even took the time to read my comic. I am thankful and will remember that. If there are ever any conventions that i am doing in your area look me up and i will give you a free print. In fact if you don't know of one feel free to browse my art and i will send you a print in the mail, free of charge. However you might want to keep tabs on my website or other sites because i am just about done with DA.
